Waupun Area Families with private drinking water wells are invited to sample drinking water with Rock River Intermediate School and UW-Extension.

Reasons to Test Through This Program:
- Understand Risk: Testing reveals what, if any, contaminants are in your drinking
- Your Children’s Health: Kids, especially babies and pregnant women, are more vulnerable to certain
- Increased Confidence in Water Quality: If sampling results show no problems, you can feel more comfortable using your well If there are health-related contaminants present, we can teach you ways to improve well water safety.
- Convenience: We will transport your sample to the lab. In April, we’ll come to the school to explain the results, provide an overview of water quality, and answer any questions you
|Registrations must be received by the end of Literacy Night on Monday, March 20, 5-7pm
||Register and pay for the sampling options(s) of your choice. Use this form to pay with cash or check written to UW-Extension or register and pay with a credit card online. Please note the nominal fee for credit card transactions.
Get Questions Answered: UW-Extension and 6th grade science students will demonstrate real-life well water contamination scenarios, map previous sampling results in your area, & describe the sampling process during Literacy Night. Bottles can be picked up at Literacy night or will be sent home with students that week.

||Read sampling instructions and take samples after 2pm today or first thing in the morning on Tuesday. Refrigerate samples (do not freeze) and bring them back to Rock River Intermediate school by 8:15am, Tuesday, March 28.|
|Mid-April||Individual test results will be mailed to participants. Note: The UW-Oshkosh lab will call if results reveal any contamination immediately hazardous to your health.|
|April evening TBD
||Educational program to learn about area-wide results and what they mean. This program will be held at Rock River Intermediate School in the Lecture Hall. Bring questions.|
