The StrongWomen Program is a safe, effective, evidence-based strength training program designed by Dr. Miriam Nelson of Tuft’s University.  It helps middle aged and older women build muscle, strengthen bones, prevent frailty, improve balance and increase overall physical and mental health. This 10-week educational and physical activity program meets for 60 minutes, two times per week and will be led by our certified StrongWomen trainer, Heather Holland.  Although the program is called StrongWomen (because the research was done on women), strength training is equally beneficial to men.
